Inner Light

Inside of you are two wolves. Or possibly six core emotions. Or maybe a small company of distinct persons. Perhaps the ego, superego, and id. Whatever form it takes, you are the product of a balancing act between varying forces, each with its own strengths, weaknesses, and goals. In order to navigate the world, you rely on these different aspects of the self, these myriad forms of inner light, to illuminate your path.

Inner Light is a tabletop RPG in which the players take on Aspects within a shared character. You play as one of the voices in their head, or the conflicting motivations that drive them, or the moral urges that tug at their soul. It's a rules-light system in which you have one stat that you spend to influence decisions or take control of the character, steering them to fulfill the idea you represent. You gain more of this resource by confronting internal conflicts, whether that's disputes with other Aspects or tamping down destructive mental or emotional manifestations.

The book includes rules for playing Inner Light as a standalone game, as well as using it to change how you control characters built in other systems.
